Common Operating & Safety Framework
All adventure activities are operated through designated activity zones, trained/certified operators and safety marshals, with participants receiving safety briefings and using mandatory protective equipment such as helmets, harnesses and life jackets wherever applicable.
Paragliding
• A 2–3 minutes of thrilling aerial activity for beginners offering an exciting flying experience and view of the surrounding landscape. • A 10 to 15 mins flight from Munsong to Linkhim Tar offers an exciting aerial experience and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Note: Mandatory Insurance of Rs.150 INR valid for all activities within event venue for a day with coverage upto 3 Lakhs.
Parasailing
An aerial adventure activity in which a participant is attached to a parachute and towed by a vehicle, providing an exciting airborne experience over the designated venue area.
River Rafting
An exciting water-based adventure where participants navigate a designated river stretch in an inflatable raft under the guidance of trained rafting professionals.
Mountain Biking
A recreational cycling experience on designated trails and tracks within the event area, combining physical challenge, skill and enjoyment.
All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Rides
An off-road adventure experience where participants ride ATVs along a specially prepared and controlled track.
Hot-Air Ballooning
A scenic aerial activity offering participants a unique opportunity to experience a hot-air balloon flight and enjoy panoramic views from above.
Giant Swing
A high-adrenaline adventure activity where participants experience a controlled swinging motion from an elevated structure under appropriate safety supervision.
Zorbing
A fun recreational activity in which participants enter a large inflatable transparent sphere and roll along a designated surface.
Obstacle Race / Team Building
The Obstacle Course at the Sikkim Adventure Tourism Fest 2026 is an exciting team-based adventure activity designed to promote fitness, teamwork, coordination, and family bonding. The activity is divided into three categories: • Team Game – Challenges participants to work together, communicate, and complete obstacles as a team. • Family Bonding Game – A fun and engaging activity designed for families to participate and enjoy together. • Inter & Intra-Departmental Game – A competitive event for government departments to encourage teamwork, camaraderie, and healthy competition. Special Features: • Every entry ticket includes 4 complimentary obstacle experiences. • Gift hampers for participants achieving the best timings. • Cash prizes for winners. • Special Inter & Intra-Departmental competitions to encourage participation and team spirit. • Entry fee: ₹3,000 per family/team. The obstacle course offers an exciting combination of adventure, competition, fitness, and fun, making it an ideal attraction for the Sikkim Adventure Tourism Fest 2026.
Camping
An immersive outdoor experience allowing visitors to stay close to nature, with camping offering a traditional outdoor experience and glamping providing enhanced luxury comfort and amenities.
Zip Lining
Zip lining is an adventure activity where participants glide along a suspended cable from the West Bengal side, across the Teesta River, to the Event Venue in Sikkim using a safety harness and pulley system.
Walk-through Adventure Exhibits at Venue
Interactive/display areas showcasing adventure equipment, gear, technology and related products, allowing visitors to understand different adventure disciplines with gear display and sale.
Gnathang Valley Vibrant Village Marathon 2026
Experience the thrill of running at 13,500 ft in Gnathang Valley, East Sikkim, along the spectacular Silk Route. The Gnathang Valley Vibrant Village Marathon 2026, part of Sikkim Tourism Adventure Fest 2026, will be held on 1 November 2026. Participants can choose from 21 km, 10 km and 5 km categories. The event promotes high-altitude adventure, healthy living, vibrant village tourism and responsible tourism in Sikkim.
